BY-LAW 2000-155
Being a By-law to appoint individuals as Parking
Enforcement Officers for private properties,
And to Repeal By-law 97-236
WHEREAS Section 20 of the Police Services Act R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P15, Section 15(1)
Authorizes a Council of any Municipality to appoint one or more By-law Enforcement
Officers who shall be Peace Officers for the purpose of enforcing the By-laws of the
Municipality;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington deems it
desirable to appoint members of the staff Group 4 Securities Limited as Parking Enforcement
Officers for the sole purpose of enforcing the By-law on certain properties located in Clarington.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington enacts
as follows:
1. Those persons named on Schedule"A",which is hereinafter attached and forming part
of this By-law, are hereby appointed as By-law Enforcement Officers for the sole
purpose of enforcing the Traffic By-law of the Municipality of Clarington on private
properties located at 1414 King Street,West,Highway 2, Courtice,NCC 45, Parkwood
Village,Nash Road, Courtice and NCC 42, 72 Martin Road, Bowmanville.
2. By-law 97-236 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first time and second time this25 th day of Sept. 2000.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 25th day of Sept. 2000.
