Present: Granville Anderson, Sierd DeJong, Robert Malone, Margaret Zwart, Kevin Symak.
Regrets: Janeen Calder
Board voted to appoint Janeen Calder to serve remainder of P. Hazelton's term, to Dec 31, 2019.
Election of Chair: K. Symak elected chair for 2019.
Motion by B. Malone, seconded by S. DeJong
Minutes:

Motion by S. DeJong, seconded by K. Symak that the minutes of the February 19/20 minutes be
accepted as presented. "Carried"
Business Arising:
Will consider partnering with BIA again next year with the Lighting of the Hall for Christmas. Board's
contribution was $1,000.
Sid reported that the Christmas music playing from the tower speakers was well received.
Financial Report:
Motion by S. DeJong, seconded by R. Malone
That the financial report be accepted. "Carried"
Invoices:
Motion by M. Zwart, seconded by G. Anderson
That the following bills be paid as presented:

Membership renewals for CBOT and Newcastle and District Chamber of Commerce were tabled.
Fundraising:
K. Symak reported the Hotel California event for April 13 is sold out.
Risk Management:
No issues identified. Report received. Motion M. Zwart, seconded G. Anderson "Carried"
New Business:
Newcastle Chamber of Commerce will no longer hold their meetings in the hall.
Mason Lodge will pay for the fire inspection of their lodge room.
