BY-LAW 97-257
being a by-law to repeal By-law #94-197, and to establish
the Members of Council as Chairmen of Departments and
to establish the Order of Proceedings at the General
Purpose and Administration Committee Meetings
THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the following members of council of the Municipality of Clarington be
designated as the Chairman of a Department as follows:
(a) Planning and Development Department - Mary Novak
(b) Clerk's Department - Charlie Trim
(c) Treasury Department - John Mutton
(d) Fire Department - Jim Schell
(e) Community Services Department - Jane Rowe
(f) Public Works Department - Troy Young
(g) Administration - Diane Hamre
2. THAT the Chairmanship of the General Purpose and Administration Committee
Meeting pass from member of council to member of council in the order
detailed in the preceding section;
3. THAT the rotation established in Section 1 remain in effect for the term of
Council;
4. THAT By-law #94-197, is hereby repealed; and
5. THAT this by-law take effect immediately on the passing thereof.
By-law read a first and second time this 1 st day of December 1997.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 1 st day of December 1997.
