BY-LAW 97-182
being a by-law to amend By-law 84-63, the Comprehensive Zoning By-law for the
Corporation of the former Town of Newcastle
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington deems it
advisable to amend By-law 84-63, as amended, of the Corporation of the former Town
of Newcastle in accordance with application DEV 97-035;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
1 . Section 6.4.15 "SPECIAL EXCEPTION (A-15) ZONE" is hereby amended:
a) by adding the words "Campground area" immediately after the words
"souvenir shop" in the sixth line of the first paragraph; and
b) by adding a new Subsection 6.4.15 (n) as follows:
"6.4.15 (n) Campground Area
For the purpose of this Special Exception Zone, a campground area shall
mean an area used for the provision of overnight accommodations within
three (3) trailers, which would accommodate a total of not more than 69
persons, as well as one (1) trailer for the provision of sanitary facilities and
one (1) trailer for educational purposes in association with the other
permitted uses in the (A-15) zone."
2. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of the passing thereof, subject to
the provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act.

BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 15th day of September 1997.
