BACKGROUND 1.1 Our report covers the month of December, 1997. It is our intent to provide Committee with information relevant to this department, in a timely manner. 2. REPORT 2.1 The department responded to 133 calls in December and recorded total fire loss at $106,900.00. A breakdown of the calls responded to follows. REPORT 2.1 The number of calls for the year increased by 14 percent of the previous year. Fire department responses have increased between ten and fifteen percent each year over the last four years. It is staff's belief that given the continued growth in the Municipality the number of calls will continue to climb. Continued..... 902 , FD-2-98 - 3 - 3.
