Subject: APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY PARKING OFFICER
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended to Council:
1. THAT report CD-15-98 be received;
2. THAT Jacqueline Mainguy be appointed a Parking Enforcement Officer on a
temporary basis; and
3. THAT By-Law 98-44, as attached to report CD-lS-98, be approved.
BAACKGROUND
In January, 1998 a temporary opening occurred in the parking enforcement
section of the By-Law Enforcement Division. After interviewing candidates,
the current part-time officer, Joa-Lee Harbinson was selected to fill the
full-time position. Jacqueline Mainguy was selected to fill the post which
Ms. Harbinson vacated.
Ms. Mainguy will be working until June when Municipal Law Enforcement Officer
Teresa Mason returns from maternity leave. In order to carry out her duties,
it is necessary for Ms. Mainguy to be appointed under By-Law as a Parking
Enforcement Officer.
It is therefore respectfully requested that council approve the attached
By-Law.
