BY-LAW 97- 27
Being a By-law to assume and dedicate Parts 1
and 5, Plan 40R-17256, being part of Church
Street and Station Street in Orono, as Public
Highway
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington passed By-law 97-26 which authorized the Agreement of
Purchase and Sale of Parts 1 and 5, Plan 40R-17256, between the
Municipality and James and Betty Major;
AND WHEREAS Parts 1 and 5, Plan 40R-17256, have been acquired for
road widening purposes as follows :
Part 1 - Church Street, and
Part 5 - Station Street, in Orono,
in accordance with Schedule "A" to By-law 97-26
AND WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington deems it expedient to assume and dedicate Parts 1 and 5,
Plan 40R-17256, as Public Highway in accordance with The Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45, s.259 .
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington enacts as follows :
1 . THAT Parts 1 and 5 (Church Street and Station Street) , Plan
40R-17256, in Orono, being part of Lot 28, Concession 5,
former Village of Orono, now within the Municipality of
Clarington, Regional Municipality of Durham, be assumed and
dedicated as Public Highway.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 10th day of February,
1997 .
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 10th day of
February, 1997 .
