THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY-LAW NO. 96-+1
Being a By-law to lay out, establish and
assume Whittaker Avenue and part of
Prestonvale Road as public highway
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF
CLARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the lands described in Schedule "A" hereto and forming
part of this By-law are hereby laid out and established as
public highway to be known as Whittaker Avenue and assumed for
public use by the Corporation.
2. THAT the lands described as Part of Lot 33, Concession 2 and
Part of the road allowance between Lots 32 and 33, Concession
2, Geographic Township of Darlington, Municipality of
Clalington, Regional Municipality of Durham designated as Part
9 on Plan 1OR-3237 are hereby laid out and established as
public highway to be known as part of Prestonvale Road and is
assumed for public used by the Corporation.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 12th day of February,
1996.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 12th day of
February, 1996.

"CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE" AND "ASSUMPTION BY-LAY"
OUR FILE: D12.CE
At a meeting held on February 12, 1996, the Council of the Municipality of Clarington
passed the following Resolution #GPA-67-96:
"THAT Report WD-6-96 be received;
THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a 'Certificate-of
Acceptance' for the roads, street lights and other related Works, constructed
within Parts 2 and 4 on Plan 1OR-1145, Parts 3, 8 and 9 on Plan 1OR-3237, and
Part 1 on Plan 40R-16592; and
THAT Council approve the by-law attached to Report WD-6-96 assuming the
streets within Parts 2 and 4 on Plan 1OR-1145, Parts 3, 8 and 9 on Plan
1OR-3237, and Part 1 on Plan 40R-16592 as public highways."
Enclosed, for your information, is a copy of Report WD-6-96.
