HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-40 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON BY-LAW NO. 96-40 Being a By-law to authorize the closure and conveyance of the unopened road allowance between Lots 26 and 27 , Concession 10, former Township of Clarke, Municipality of Clarington, to Dufferin Aggregates, a division of St. Lawrence Cement Inc. WHEREAS Council, at its meeting of December 11, 1995, authorized advertisement of a Public Hearing, as required by the Municipal Act, to stop up, close and convey the unopened road allowance between Lots s26 andl27 , Concession 40R--14683 Road Townshi designated a WHEREAS Council, at its meetings of September 18 and December 4, 1995, declared the Property to be surplus in accordance with By-law 95-22; WHEREAS the notice of a Public Hearing to be held by Council to consider this By-law was advertised in the local newspaper on January 31 10, 17, and 24, 1996; WHEREAS notice of Council's intention was sent to the Regional Municipality re received by , 1996 , and approval was the Clerk by Registered MailonJanuary 12, 1996; WHEREAS the selling price of the Property is established at the Market Value of $273,000.00, plus estimated negotiated costs; NOW THEREFORETY OF CLARINGTON AS FOLLOWS: OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPAL I 1. The Road Allowance is hereby stopped up and closed. 2. The Road Allowance is declared surplus property. 3. BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 12th day of February, 1996. MAYOR CLERK
