HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-31 REPEALED By SY•LAW#YS 4 .. 70 THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON BY-LAW 96-31 being a by-law to amend By-law 87-156, as amended, a by-law to provide for licensing and regulating the keeping of dogs WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington has adopted the recommendations contained within Report #ADMIN-2-96 to adjust existing administrative fees and to impose new administrative fees to recover costs incurred by the Municipality in providing information and services : NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON ENACTS AS FOLLOWS : 1. THAT By-law 87-156, as amended, is further amended by repealing Section 2 . (a) and replacing it with the following Section 2 . (a) : " (a) The owner of a dog in the Municipality of Clarington shall pay to the Municipality of Clarington, in each year, a licence fee as follows : (i) for the first and second dog $25 . 00 each (ii) for the third dog $35 . 00 (iii) for the fourth and each additional dog $55 . 00 each (iv) for a spayed or neutered dog, upon presentation of proof of spaying or neutering $12 . 00 each" 2 . THAT By-law 87-156, as amended, is further amended by repealing Section 6 . and replacing it with the following Section 6 . : 116 . The owner of a licensed kennel of pure-bred dogs registered in the Register of The Canadian Kennel Club Incorporated shall pay an annual licence fee of $30 . 00 to the Municipality of Clarington and shall be entitled to receive and have a licence and tag for each dog, and he is not liable to pay, in respect of such pure-bred dogs, any licence fee under this by-law. " 3 . THAT this by-law shall take effect February 1, 1996 . By-law read a first and second time this 29th day of January 1996 .
