BY-LAW 96-27
being a by-law to amend By-law 74-72, as amended,
a by-law for licensing, regulating and governing taxi
drivers, brokers and taxi vehicle owners
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington has adopted the recommendations contained within
Report #ADMIN-2-96 to adjust existing administrative fees and to
impose new administrative fees to recover costs incurred by the
Municipality in providing information and services :
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF CLARINGTON ENACTS AS FOLLOWS :
1 . THAT By-law 74-72, as amended, is further amended by
repealing Section 4 . (ii) and replacing it with a new
Section 4 . (ii) as follows :
114 . (ii) The term of and the fee for a licence under the
provisions of this by-law shall be as follows :
(1) Each vehicle $25 . 00 annually
(2) Driver' s licence including
Temporary Driver' s Licence $20 . 00/2 years
(3) Duplicate Drivers Licence $ 1 . 50
(4) Broker' s Licence $20 . 00 ann. "
2 . THAT this by-law shall take effect February 1, 1996 .
By-law read a first and second time this 29th day of January
1996 .
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 29th day of
January 1996 .
