BY-LAW 96- 6n
being a By-law to amend By-law 89-173, a By-law respecting the
appointment of a Chief Building Official and Building Inspectors
WHEREAS the current Chief Building Official, Mr. Howard Wight will retire on
September 27, 1996;
WHEREAS Council has decided not to fill the position for the balance of 1996;
WHEREAS the Ontario Building Code Act requires Council to appoint a Chief Building
Official to enforce the Ontario Building Codes.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Municipality enacts as follows:
1. THAT By-law 89-173 be amended by deleting paragraph 1) in its entirety and
replacing it with the following:
1) THAT in addition to his duties as the Director of Planning and
Development, Mr. Franklin Wu be appointed as the Chief Building Official
for the Municipality of Clarington effective September 30, 1996.
2. THAT By-law 89-173 be further amended by deleting Schedule "A" in its entirety.
By-Law read a first and second time this 16th day of September 1996
By-Law read a third time and finally passed this 16th day of September 1996
