REPEALED
THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON BYLAW#..(r 73
BY-LAW NUMBER 96-138
Being a By-Law to provide for an annual
allowance to the Mayor and Members of Council.
Pursuant to the Municipal Act R.S.O. 1990, Chapter 302, Section 238(1), the Council of the
Corporation of the Municipality hereby enacts as follows:
1. THAT effective April 1, 1996, the Mayor and Members of Council annual.allowance
be increased by 1%, as set out under Schedule "A" attached hereto; and
2. THAT such allowance shall be paid bi-weekly and in the event of the death of a
member, or upon his/her ceasing to be a member for any reason before the expiration
of his/her term of office, the amount shall be in proportion to the period of his/her
service during such term.
3. THAT By-Law 89-114 of the Town of Newcastle is hereby repealed.
By-Law read a first and second time this 8th day of July 1996.
By-Law read a third time and finally passed this 8th day of July 1996.
