BY-LAW 95-185
being a by-law imposing special annual drainage
rates upon land in respect of which money is
borrowed under the Tile Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990
WHEREAS owners of land in the municipality have applied to the
Council under the Tile Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, for a loan for
the purpose of constructing sub-surface drainage works on such
land;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington has upon their application, lent the owners of Part
Lot 8, Concession 1, former Township of Clarke the total sum of
$17, 000 . 00 to be repaid with interest by means of rates
hereinafter imposed;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON:
1 . THAT annual rates as set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto
are hereby imposed upon such land for a period of ten (10)
years, such rates to be levied and collected in the same
manner as taxes .
By-law read a first and second time this 11th day of December
1995 .
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 11th day of
December 1995 .
