portion of the road allowance lying
between Lots 12 and 13) Concession 1) shown
on Hanning's Plan being part of the original
road allowance lying north of the Base Line
Road and south of the north limit of Spry
Avenue.
WHEREAS the Municipal Act) R.S.O. 1910) Chapter 282) Section
354 (1) paragraph 97, provides for the surveying) settling
and marking of the boundary lines of highways and giving
names to them or changing their names;
AND WHEREAS that portion of the road allowance as hereinafter
more particularly described is presently named Scugog Street;
AND WHEREAS since the registration of a Plan of Subdivision
of Part of Lot 13, Concession 1) of the former Town of
Bowmanville, in the Registry Office for the Registry Division
of the County of Durham (No. 10) on the 30th day of March)
1973) the road more particularly hereinafter described has
been commonly known as Spry Avenue North;
AND WHEREAS it is the intention of Council to change the name
of that part of the said Scugog Street to Spry Avenue North.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the ~orporation of the Town of
Newcastle hereby enacts as follows:
1. THAT the name of that portion of "Scugog Street" being
described as follows:
ALL that portion of the road allowance lying
between Lots 12 and 13) Concession 1, shown
on Hanning's Plan, ,formerly in the ~own of
Bowmanvil1e, now in the Town of Newcastle,
which property is more particularly described
as follows:
COMMENCIN9 at the north east angle of Spry
Avenu~ to a point where Spry Avenue intersects
the road allowance between Lots 12 and 13,
Concession 1, in the former Town of Bowmanvi~le)
now in the Town of Ne~castle;
