THE CDRroRATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
By-Law No. 78- 40
Being a by-law to amend By-Law No. 76-30 being a by-law
to provide for the regulating of parking and stopping
on Highways or parts of highways under the jurisdiction
of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deEmS it
expedient to amend By-Law No. 76-30, as amended;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
ENACTS as follows:-
(1) 'IHAT Section XI "Penalties" of By-Law No. 76-30 is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following Subsection:-
"6. A Constable or Officer appointed for the carrying out of the
Highway Traffic Act or the By-Law Enforcement Officers may upon
the discovery of a Motor Vehicle parked or left contrary to
Section V, VI, VII , or VIII cause such vehicle to be moved or
taken to and placed in a suitable place and all cost and charge
for moving, care and storage thereof, if any, are lien upon the
vehicle which may be enforced in the manner provided by Section 48
of The Mechanics I Lien Act."
(2) 'IHAT Schedule liB" of By-Law No. 76-30 is hereby amended by adding thereto
the following:-
