THE CORPORATION OF THE
TO'~ OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 78-20
being a by-law to authorize the construction
of an extension to the Works Department Buildings
at Hampton.
THE Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That an extension to the Public Works Building at Hampton be
constructed.
2. That the estimated cost will be $235,000. to be financed from
the proceeds of Po~d Allowances and other property sold to
Ontario Hydro.
3. That the said construction shall be under the supervision of
Totten Sims Hubicki Associates Ltd., Consulting Engineers.
4. That the ~fuyor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized to cause
a contract for the construction of the said work to be made
and entered into with some person or persons, firm or corporation,
subject to the approval of the Council to be declared by resolution;
and that the Mayor and Clerk be and are henhy further authorized
to do all acts and sign all documents and affix the Corporate
Seal of the Town thereto as may be necessary in connection with
the making of contracts and other matters for the completion of
the said undertaking or work.
5. That the Treasurer of the Municipality is hereby authorized to
make arrangements to sign any necessary documents t. arrange
temporary advances of money to meet the cost of the work pending
the completion of the work.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME and finally passed this 27th day of March,
A.D. 1978
