THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
By-Law No. 77-76
Being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize
the conveyance of the road allowances as set out
in Schedule "A" annexed hereto, being in the Town
of Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to pass this by-law.
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in
accordance with the requirements of Section 446 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970,
Chapter 284, was published in the Canadian Statesman on the 21st and 28th day of
September, 1977 and on the 5th day of October, 1977 and in the Newcastle Independant
on the 12th day of October, 1977.
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass this by-law was sent by
registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 15th day of September,
1977, and the Regional Council has advised that they have no objections to the
proposed by-law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Those portions of highway in the Town of Newcastle, more particularly set out
in Schedule "A" annexed hereto, are hereby stopped up and closed.
2. Those portions of highway set out in Schedule "A" annexed hereto shall be
conveyed by the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to abutting owners.

a-reference plan deposited in the aforesaid Land Registry Office as
Plan 10 R .342;

between Lots 22 and 2.3 in the Broken Front Concession of the aforesai
Geographic Tm~ship of Darlington more part1cularly designated as
Parts .3, 4 and 5 on a reference plan deposited in the aforesaid Land

All of First Avenue, Second Avenue, Third Avenue, Fourth
Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Sixth Avenue, Seventh Avenue, Eighth Avenue,
Ninth Avenue, Tenth Avenue, Eleventh Avenue, ~~elfth Avenue, Thirteen
Avenue, Fourteenth Avenue, Fifteenth Avenue, Sixteenth Avenue and
Station Road, all according to a .plan of subdivision of parts of Lots
22 and 23 in the Broken Front Concession of the aforesaid Geographic
