THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW No. 77-63
A by-law to amend restricted area by-law number 2111, as amended
of the former Township of Darlington.
WHEREAS, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
advisable to amend restricted area by-law Number 2111, as amended, of the former
Township of Darlington;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle ENACTS as
follows:
1. By-law number 2246 of the former Township of Darlington is
hereby repealed.
2. Section 7, Subsection (d) of By-law 2111, as amended, is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following subsection (3):
"(3) C2-2 - Part of Lot 29, Concession 2
Notwithstanding any provisions of this By-law to the contrary,
the parcel of land located in part of lot 29, Concession 2 and
designated C2-2 on Schedule "A" hereto shall, be used only for the
purpose of a public garage, a new and used car lot, and an
automobile service station, provided that no building or structure
may be erected, or used except in accordance with the following
provisions:
Front Yard (minimum) - 70 feet
Distance from Centre Line of
Courtice Road to Building Line (minimum) - 66 feet
Exterior Side Yard (min. ) - 30 feet
Interior Side Yard (min. ) - 30 feet
Rear Yard (minimum) - 45 feet
Distance between driveways (minimum) - 16 feet

3. Key Map 21 of Schedule A to By-law 2111 is hereby amended by
changing to C2-2 the zone designation of the lands designated
"ZONE CHANGE TO C2-2" on the attached Schedule "X" hereto.
4. This by-law shall come into effect on the date hereof, subject to
receiving the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board.
READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD time and finally passed this
29th day of August, 1977.
