THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 77-53
a By-law to amend By-law No. 76-25 being a by-law
to regulate signs in the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS on the 3rd day of May, 1977, the Council of the Town of Newcastle
passed By-law No. 76-25, being a by-law to regulate signs in the Town of Newcastle
AND WHEREAS By-law No. 76-25 was amended by By-law No. 76-67 passed on the
13th day of December , 1976
AND WHEREAS Council now deems it expedient to further amend By-law No. 76-25
NOW THEREFOR the Council of the Town of Newcastle ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Subsection (2) (b) (V) of Section 10 of By-law No. 76-25
be amended by deleting therefrom the words "12 square feet" and
substituting the words:
"-.05% of the area of the lot on which the sign is located but
in no case shall the area of the sign be greater than 50 square
feet".
2. This By-law shall become effective on the date of final passing
thereof.
BY-LAW READ A FIRST and SECOND TIME this
6th day of July, 1977
BY-LAW READ A THIRD TIME and finally passed this 6th day of July, 1977
