THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 76-73
being a by-law to amend By-law 76-7, ;
as amended, being a by-law to provide
for the maintenance, management and
regulation and control of the Bowmanville
Cemetery.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
did, on the 3rd day of May, 1976, pass By-law 76-7
AND WHEREAS the Council deems it expedient to amend said by-law
NOW THEREFORE the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle enacts
as follows:
1. Section 11 (ii) (3) be deleted and replaced by the following:
Section 11 (ii) (3) Size
Every marker for a single grave shall be of a size as nearly as
practicable, of 18 inches by 24 inches, with a thickness of from
3 to 8 inches.
The size of the marker on a Babyland Grave shall not exceed
6" x 14"
The size of the flat marker on a Cremation Plot shall not exceed
10" x 16".
2. This by-law shall come into force when passed by the Council of
the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle, subject however to the
approval of the Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations.
READ A FIRST AND SECOND TIME THIS 13th day of December, 1976
READ A THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 13th day of December, 1976.
