THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 76-71

being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize
the conveyance of part of Lot 20 in the 10th Concession
of the Town of Newcastle (formerly Township of Darlington)
designated as Part 3 on Reference Plan 10R-SSO filed in
the Land Registry Division of Newcastle (No. 10)
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law
in accordance with the requirements of Section 446 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1970, Chapter 284, was published in the Canadian Statesman on the 20th day of
October, the 27th day of October, the 3rd day of November and the 10th day of
November, 1976;
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this by-law
was sent by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 18th
day of October, 1976, and the Regional Council has no objection to the proposed
road closure;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:

Those portions of highway in the Town of Newcastle hereinafter described
are hereby stopped up and closed:
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises situate, lying and being in the Town of Newcastle
in the Regional Municipality of Durham (formerly in the Township
of Darlington in the County of Durham) and being composed of
part of Lot Number 20, in the 10th Concession of the said Town
of Newcastle (formerly in the Township of Darlington) and now
designated as Part 3 on a Reference Plan filed in the Land Registry
Division of Newcastle (No. 10) as Number 10R-SSO.
2. Those portions of the highway hereinbefore described shall be conveyed
by the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to abutting owners.
