THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 76-62
being a by-law to repeal By-law No. 2524
of the former Township of Darlington
WHEREAS the Council of the former Township of
Darlington did, by By-law Number 2524, passed on November 13,
1973, adopt Amendment Number 8 to the Official Plan-of the
Darlington Planning Area;
AND WHEREAS the Minister of Housing has not at the
date of passing of this By-law approved the above mentioned
Official Plan Amendment;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality
of Durham did by By-law Number 138-76 passed on July 14, 1976
adopt the Official Plan for the Durham Planning Area which now
renders in many respects, obsolete, the above mentioned Official
Plan Amendment;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of
the Town of Newcastle ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. By-law Number 2524 of the former Township of
Darlington is hereby repealed.
