THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 75-55
being a by-law to establish a Community
Recreation Centre at Newcastle Lions
Swimming Pool
WHEREAS the Community Recreation Centres Act, 1974,
provides in Section 2 (1) that the Council of any municipality may,
by by-law provide for the-.stablishment of one or more community
recreation centres in accordance with the said Act and may acquire by
purchase, lease or otherwise real and personal property for that purpose:
AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle is
desirous of establishing a community recreation centre at Newcastle Lions
Swimming Pool, Beaver Street, former Village of Newcastle in the Town
of Newcastle:
THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. That a community recreation centre defined as a swimming
pool be established and operated by the Corporation
pursuant to the provisions of the Community R8creation
Centres Act, 1974.
2. That the Mayor and the Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to execute all documents necessary to give
effect to the foregoing.
