THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 75-24
being a by-law to provide for an
election in Ward 1 of the Town of
Newcastle
WHEREAS Councillor A. D. Wearn has resigned his
seat on Council as Area Councillor for Ward 1, with effect
March 15, 1975
AND WHEREAS Resolution #C-75-339 passed on March 17,
1975, provides that an election should be called to fill the
vacancy,
THEREFOR the Council of the Town of Newcastle hereby
enacts as follows:
1. That an election shall be held as provided by
the Municipal Act,(R.S.O. 1972, chapter 121, Sec. 11,)
and the Municipal Elections Act (R.S.O. 1972, chapter
95, Sec. 90 as amended).
2. That the last day for revision of the Voter's List
shall be Thursday, April 11, 1975.
3. That Nomination day shall be Monday, 21st day of
April, 1975,
4. That the Advance Poll shall be held on Saturday,
May 3, 1975.
5. That the Election Day shall be Monday, May 12, 1975.
