A BY-LAW TO CDNFIRM 'lEE PRCX::EEDINGS OF 'lEE COUNCIL
OF 'IHE 'rom OF NEWCASTLE AT THIS MEm'ING HELD ON THE
30th DAY OF
July
1979
WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter 284
of the Revised Statues of Ontario, 1970, the powers of a rrnmicipal
corporation are to be exercised by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 241 of The Municipal Act,
being Chapter 284 of the Revised Statues of Ontario, 1970, the powers
of every Council are to be exercised by by-law;
row 'lHEREFORE 'IHE OOUNCIL OF '!HE 'IOWN OF NEWCASTLE ENACTS AS :FOLLOWS:
The actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this
meeting held on the day of 197 in respect of each
recannendation contained in the rerx:>rts of the Ccmnittees and
each rrotion and resolution passed and other action taken by the
Council of the Town of Newcastle at this meeting is hereby
adopted and confinned as if all such proceedings were expressly
anbodied in this by-law.
2. The Mayor and proper officials of the Town of Newcastle are
hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to
give effect to the actions of the Council of the'lbwn of Newcastle
referred to in the preceeding section hereof.

3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the Seal
of theTbwn of Newcastle.
