HomeMy WebLinkAbout79-70 \-. . e e -. -- THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE By-Law No. 79-70 Being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize the conveyance of part of the road allowance being composed of Part 2 Plan lOR-964 of the Geographic Township of Darlington (formerly County of Durham) now within the limits of the Town of Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham. WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it desirable to pass this by-law; AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in accordance with the requirements of Section 446 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, Chapter 284, was published in the Canadian Statesman on the following dates:- July 4th, 1979, July 11th, 1979, July 18th, 1979 and July 25th, 1979. AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this by-law was sent by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 7th day of June, 1979, and the Regional Council has granted approval to the proposed by-law. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED and it is hereby enacted as a By-law of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle as follows:- (1) Those portions of the road allowance in the Town of Newcastle hereinafter described are hereby stopped up and closed:- IlALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being, in the Town of Newcastle, in the Regional Municipality of Durham and being composed of that portion of the original road allowance between Lots 32 and 33, Concession 7, in the Geographic Township of Darlington (formerly in the County of Durham) now within the limits of the Town of Newcastle, in the Regional Municipality of Durham, designated as Part 2 on Reference Plan 10R-964, deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Newcastle (No. 10) on May 22, 1979. . . . .. 2/ i e . . <cO ,. .. - 2 - By-Law No. 79-70 2. Those portions of the road allowance hereinbefore described shall be conveyed by The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to abutting owners.
