By-law Number 79 - 54
being a By-law to repeal by-law No. 75-32
of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
did, by By-law 75-32, passed on May 8, 1975, adopt the "Interim
District Plan" for the Town of Newcastle;
At~D WHEREAS the above mentioned "Interim District Plan" has never
received formal approval from either the Regional Municipality of
Durham or the Ministry of Housing;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham did,
by By-law Number 133-76, passed on July 14, 1976, adopt the Official

Plan for the Durham Planning Area which now renders in many respects
obsolete, the above mentioned Interim District Plan;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
ENACTS as follows:
1. By-law Number 75-32 of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
is hereby repealed.
THIS BY-LAW READ a first time, this 18th day of June , A.D. 1979.
THIS BY-LAW READ a second time, this 18 day of June , A.D. 1979.
THIS BY-LAW READ a third time and finally passed, this 18 day of
June , A.D. 1979.
