A BY-LAW TO CDNFIRM '!HE PROCEEDINGS OF '!HE CDUNCIL
OF '!HE rom OF NEWCASTLE AT ~ MEETINC1HEI.D ON 'llIE
7th DAY OF November 1979

WHEREAS by Section 9 of the Municipal Act, being Chapter 284
of the Revised Statues of Ontario, 1970, the powers of a rmmicipal
corporation are to be exercised by its Council;
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 241 of The Municipal Act,
being Chapter 284 of the Revised Statues of Ontario, 1970, the power:s
of every Council are to be exercised by by-law;

recoomendation contained in the reports of the O:mnittees and
each rwtion and resolution passed and other action taken by the
Council of the Town of Newcastle at thtsemeetingJ is hereby
adopted and confinned as if all such proceedings were 'expressly
embodied in this by-law. '

2. The Mayor and proper officials of the Town of Newcastle are
hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to.,
give effect to the actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle
referred to in the preceeding section hereof.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the Seal
of the Town of Newcastle.
