THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 1179-119
Being a By-Law to establish and Maintain Petty
Cash Funds
WHEREAS Subsection 4 of Section 220 of The Municipal Act (R.S.O. 1970,
Chapter 284, Section 220) provides that the Council of a Municipality may
by By-law provide that the Treasurer may establish and maintain a Petty
Cash Fund of an amount of money sufficient to make change and to pay small
accounts, subject to such terms and conditions as the By-law may provide;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of The Town of Newcastle enacts
as follows:-
1.
That the following change funds be set up:-
Cashier Drawer A $50.00
Cashier Drawer B 50.00
Recreation Department 25.00
Hampton Office 50.00
Bowmanville Arena 60.00
Darlington Sports Centre 50.00
Animal Control Officer 25.00
Orono Pool 25.00
Newcastle Lions Pool 25.00
Memorial Park Pool 25.00
That the following petty cash funds be set up:-
Treasurer $100.00
Hampton Office 25.00

3. That where a facility named in one(l) above is open on a seasonal
basis, immediately upon closing of the facility at the end of its
operating season, the change fund will be deposited with the Treasurer.
4. That the accounts to be paid from two(2) above be to the maximum of
$20. per individual account.

That By-law #76-5 be and hereby repealed.
