THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 81-73
being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize the conveyance
of that part of a Lane in Block B and Block C and that part of
the Unnamed Street between Block B and Block C as well as that
part of Second Street all within Part 2, Plan 10R-861
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in
accordance with the requirements of Section 446 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1970, Chapter 284, was published in the Canadian Statesman on the following
dates: May 6 1981, May 13 1981, May 20 1981, May 27 1981;
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this by-law was
sent by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham, on the
28th day of April 1981, and the Regional Council has granted approval to the
proposed by-law:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. That part of a Lane in Block B and that part of the Unnamed Street
between Block B and Block C as well as that part of Second Street all
within Part 2, Plan 10R-861, in the Town of Newcastle hereinafter
more particularly described are hereby stopped up and closed:
THOSE LANDS and premises located in the Town of
Newcastle, in the Regional Municipality of Durham (formerly
in the Town of Bowmanville, in the County of Durham) and
being composed of;
THAT part of a lane in Block B and that part of the Unnamed
Street between Block B and Block C as well as that part of
Second Street, all within Part 2, Plan 10R-861.
2. Those portions of the road allowance hereinbefore described shall be
conveyed by The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to abutting owners.
