BY-LAW 81-151
being a by-law to establish a Oommunity
Recreation Centre at Salina in the former
'Ibwnship of Darlington, now in the Town of
Newcastle, and to provide for the establish-
ment of a Camnmi ty Centre Board
WHEREAS the Oommunity Recreation Centres Act, 1974, provides in Section 2(1)
that the CDuncil of any nnmicipality may, by by-law provide for the establishInent
of one or IIDre ccmnunity recreation centres and for the establishment of a Oommunity
Centre Board, in accordance with the said Act
AND WHEREAS By-law 2405 of the former Township of Darlington, passed on
the 16th day of January, 1969, established a community recreation centre at Salina,
in the former Township of Darlington, now in the Town of Newcastle;
AN.D WHEREAS, the Oouncil of the Colporation of the Town of Newcastle wishes
to designate the conposition of the Corrnnmity Centre Board;
Nay- THEREFORE the Oouncil of. the CDrporation ENACI'S AS roUDNS:

1. That a ccmnuni ty recreation centre defined as a playing field be
established and operated by the Oorporation pursuant to the provisions
of the Ccmnunity Recreation Centres Act 1974.
2, That the lands designated hereby shall be those IIDre particularly
described in Schedule "A" hereto, which is declared to be and form
part of this by-law.
3. That the aforesaid ccmnuni ty centre be under the management and
control of a Board appointed by CDuncil to be called I The Selina
Athletic Field Connruni ty Centre Board I oorrprised of 7 persons, all
of whom shall be appointed annually by resolution of CDuncil; two
members of which shall be members of Oounci1.
4. By-law 2405 of the former Township of Darlington is hereby repealed.

AIL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate,
lying and being in the 'lbwn of Newcastle, geographic 'lbwnship of Darlington,
Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario, and being carposed of
part of lot 'l\venty-five (25) in the Fifth Concession of the geographic
'lbwnship of Darlington, containing by admeasurement 2.47 acres, be the same
nnre or less, the boundaries of the said parcel being nnre particularly described
as follows:
PREMISING that the Northerly limit of said lot 25 has a bearing of North 74 degrees
00 minutes East and relating all bearings herein thereto:
ro1MENCING at an iron bar planted in the Easterly limit of said Lot 25 distant
Southerly therein three hundred and eighty...two and eight-tenths feet (382.8')
from the North-Easterly angle of said Lot 25:

THENCE South 74 degrees 00 minutes West a distance of two hundred and forty-nine
and five-tenths feet (249.5') to an iron bar planted in the line of a fence running
Southerly:
'!HENCE South 16 degrees 30 minutes East in the line of the said fence a distance
of four hillldred and thirty-four and five-tenths feet (434.5') to an iron bar
marking an angle in the said fence:
THENCE North 73 degrees 07 minutes 20 seconds East continuing along the said fence
a distance of two hundred and forty-eight and four~tenths feet (248.4') nnre or
less to an iron bar planted in the Easterly limit of said Lot 25, said iron bar
distant Southerly therein four hillldred and thirty and seven-tenths feet (430.7')
from the point of cannencement:
THENCE North 16 degrees 21 minutes 20 seconds West along the Easterly limit of said
Lot 25 a distance of four hillldred and thirty and seven-tenths feet (430.7')
to the POINT OF ca.1MENCEMENT.
