THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 81-138
Being a by-law to amend By-law No. 76-25,
as amended, of the Corporation of the Town
of Newcastle.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle ENACTS as follows:-
1. Section 11 of By-law 76-25, as amended, of The
Corporation of the Town of Newcastle is hereby
further amended by adding thereto the following
"SPECIAL CONDITION 7":-
SPECIAL CONDITION 7
7.1 Defined Area
.
The lands subject to this SPECIAL CONDITION
comprises part of the south half of Lot 16,
Concession 5, of the former Township of
Darlington situate on the north-west corner
of the intersection of Durham Regional Road 4
and Old Scugog Road bounded by Durham Regional
Road4on the south, Old Scugog Road on the east
and north and the east limit of Lot 17,
Concession 5 on the west.
7.2 Permitted Signs

Notwithstanding any provision of this By-law to
the contrary, a ground identification sign
associated with the uses permitted within the
"Defined Area" may be located within the sight
triangle of the intersection of Durham Regional
Road 4 and Old Scugog Road provided that said
ground sign shall not overhang either of the
aforesaid road allowances, shall be located no
closer than ten (10) feet from the intersection
of the street line of Old Scugog Road with the

street1ine of Regional Road 4, no closer than
two (2) feet from the street line of Durham
Regional Road 4, and shall have a minimum clearance
of eleven (11) feet between the base of the sign
and the surface of the ground.
2. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of the final
passing hereof.
