being a By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law
2lll, as amended, of the former Township of
Darlington.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
DEEMS it advisable to amend Restricted Area By-law 2lll, as amended,
of the former Township of Darlington.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
ENACTS as follows:

Section 6, Subsection (d) of By-law 2lll, as amended, is hereby

further amended by adding thereto the following subsection 2 as
follows:
"2. Cl-2; Lot 3l, Concession 5
Notwithstanding any provisions of Section 6(a)(i) to the
contrary, the land designated "Cl-2" on Schedule 'A' hereto
shall be used only for the purpose of convenience retail
stores, a hairdressing salon, and a single family dwelling
with studio space therein, provided that no building or
structure may be erected or used except in accordance with
the "Cl" Zone Provisions as set out in Section 12 hereto;
and further provided that motor vehicle parking facilities
shall be provided and maintained on the basis of one (1)
space per each ll.5 square metres of floor space or portion

space for the dwelling unit."

Schedule 'A' to By-law Number 2lll, as amended, is hereby
further amended by changing to "Cl-2" the zone designation
of the lands indicated as "ZONE CHANGE TO 0-2" on the
attached Schedule "X" hereto.
3. This By-law shall become effective on the date hereof, subject
to the provisions of Section 35(lO) of the Planning Act.

Purpose and Effect of By-law 81-127
The purpose and effect of By-law 81-127 is to amend
Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 2111, as amended,
of the former Township of Darlington by changing the
zone designation of the lands identified by Schedule
"X" hereto from "C1-Commercial" to Cl-2 Commercial".
The subject By-law would permit the use of the lands
for a convenience retail store, a hairdressing salon,
and a single family dwelling with studio space
therein.
