BY-LAW NO. 83-30

being a by-law to stop up and close and to
authorize the sale of all of the portions
of Pine Street lying between Blocks IIQ II and
IIR" according to C.G. Hanning's Plan of
Lot 10 in the First Concession of the former
Town of Bowmanvil1e
WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in
accordance with the requirements of Section 301, Chapter 302 of The Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, was published in the Canadian Statesman, on January 12, 1983;
January 19, 1983; January 26, 1983; February 2, 1983.
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of the Council to pass this by-law was
sent by registered mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham, on the
23rd day of December , 1982, and the Regional Municipality of
Durham granted approval of the proposed by-1 aw by 1 etter dated the 18th day of
January , 1983;
NOW THEREFOR BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. A 11 that port ion of Pi ne Street 1yi ng between B1 ocks I~Q" and "R" in
the Town of Newcastle hereinafter described is hereby stopped up and closed:
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract
of land situate, lying and being in the Town
of Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham,
Province of Ontario, and being composed of all
that portion of Pine Street lying between
Blocks IIQ" and "R" according to C. G. Hanning's
Plan of Part of Lot Ten (10) in the First Conc-
ession of the former Town of Bowmanvi11e more
particularly designated as Parts One (1) and
Two (2) according to a P1~n of Survey deposited
in the Land Registry Office for the Registry
Division of Newcastle (NO. 10) on the 30th day
of September, 1982, as Plan 10R-1527.
2. All that portion of Pine Street hereinbefore described shall be conveyed
by the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to abutting owners.
