THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 83-144
being a by-law to modify the Town of Newcastle
Road System by adding roads thereto
WHEREAS Subsection 2 of Section 28 of the Regional Municipality of Durham Act,
R.S.O. 1980, provides in part that:
liThe Regional Council may by by-law from time
to time add roads to, or remove roads from, the
Regional Road System; II
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham enacted By-law
Number 183-83, on September 28, 1983, removing the roads referred to in Schedule
ItA" to this By-law from the Regional Road System;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

1. That the roads designated and described in Schedule "A" attached hereto are
hereby added to the Town of Newcastle Road System.
2. Schedule "AIt attached hereto forms part of this By-law.
3. That the lands described in Schedule "AIt attached hereto be and are hereby
accepted as public highways within the Town of Newcastle and all by-laws
presently in force with respect to highways and streets, shall apply to the
highways added by this by-law to the Town of Newcastle Road System.
By-law read a first and second time this 24th day of October
1983.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 24th day of October 1983.

SCHEDULE "A" TO BY-LAW 83-144
1. That portion of the 10th Concession Road of the
former Township of Darlington, from the easterly limit
of Durham Regional Road 20, easterly to the east limit
of the road comprising the boundary between the former
Townships of Clarke and Darlington (Townline Road);
2. That portion of the road comprising the boundary
between the former Townships of Clarke and Darlington
(Townline Road), from the northerly limit of Durham
Regional Road 20, northerly to the southerly limit of
the former Township of Clarke and the Township of
Manvers (Townline Road).
