THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 83-119
being a by-law to appoint a Fire Chief
The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That James A. Aldridge is hereby appointed Fire Chief of the Town of
Newcastle with effect the 3rd day of October 1983;
2. That the said appointment shall be subject to the satisfactory completion
of a 6 month probationary period, and thereafter the appointment shall be
"At the pleasure of Council;"
3. That James A. Aldridge shall be remunerated in accordance with the Salary
Administration Policy for non-affiliated staff, and his starting salary
will be at Step 4, Salary Grade 14. Salary adjustments shall be made
from time to time in accordance with the Salary Administration Program;
4. James A. Aldridge shall be entitled to all other employee benefits
enjoyed by non-affiliated staff as may be determined from time to time;
5. That By-law 74-8 of The Town of Newcastle is hereby repealed as of the
3rd day of October 1983.
By-law read a first and second time this 12th day of September 1983.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 12th day of September 1983.
