being a by-law to authorize the execution
of an Agreement with Inducon Consultants of
Canada Limited
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute on
behalf of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle, and seal with
the Corporation Seal, an Agreement between Inducon Cunsultants of
Canada Limited, and the said Corporation, to carry out a Study of
the Potential For Heat Utilization at the Darlington Generating
Station.
By-law Read a First Time This 25th Day of July 1983.
By-law Read a Second Time This 25th Day of July 1983.
By-law Read a Third and Final Time This 25th Day of July 1983.

Dear Mr. Taylor:
In your letter of July 21,1983 you requested us to forward a letter
of understanding, confirming the terms of our proposal and the budget
amounts for the Study of the Potential for Heat Utilization for the
Darlington Generating Station. This letter will address your request
and will act as a contract for the Study.
Inducon Consultants of Canada Limited will carry out the Study of the
Potential for Heat Utilization at the Darlington Generating Station
according to the Proposal addressed to Councillor Taylor dated May 29,
1983. In addition to the items outlined in the Proposal, the study
will include the tasks outlined in a letter from Inducon Consultants
of Canada Limited to Councillor Taylor dated July 6, 1983. These
additional tasks relate to amendments to Study Objective 6 (c) and
a new Study Objecti ve 6 (f).
The total cost of the Study, for both professional services and
expenses, will be $44,800.00 - FORTY FOUR THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED
DOLLARS. Invoices will be issued on a monthly basis and payment
will be due within 30 days.
If you accept this contract, would you kindly sign back a copy of
this letter which is enclosed for our files and it will form the
contract for this Study.
