THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 84-78
being a by-law to permit the continuation of
an encroachment onto Town-owned lands, by
Douglas James and Katherine A. Chumbley,
Scugog Street, Burketon, now in the Town of
Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham,
pursuant to the provisions of Section 210
(101) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980,
and the Town of Newcastle By-law No. 81-50.
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That permission is granted to Douglas James and Katherine Ann
Chumbley, Scugog Street, Burketon, now in the Town of Newcastle,
their heirs, successors and assigns, the right to maintain and use
such portion of their dwelling as constitutes an encroachment upon
a public highway, for so long as the encroachment is not required
for municipal purposes or until the bUilding is removed; ~
2. The lands affected by By-law No. 84-78 are described as part~7-H~~v <1!
(3) according to Plan 10R-1820, being all and singular that certain
parcel or tract of land situate, lying and being in the Town of
Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario
and being composed of that portion of Scugog Street in Lot 20, of
Concession 10, according to J. H. Reid's Plan of Burketon Station,
as herein defined.
3. A copy of Plan 10R-1820 is attached to By-84-78 as Schedule "A'"
By-law read a first and second time this 28th day of May 1984.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 28th day of May 1984.
