HomeMy WebLinkAbout84-136 ~ THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE BY-LAW 84- 136 being a by-law to stop-up and close and to authorize the sale of parts of the unopened road allowance, lying between Lots 22 and 23, Concession 10, in the former Township of Clarke, now in the Town of Newcastle WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it desireable to pass this by-law; AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in accordance with the requirements of Section 301, Chapter 302, of The Municipal Actl R.S.O. 1980, was published in the Orono Weekly Times on October 3rd, October 10th, October 17th and October 24th 1984; AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass this by-law was sent by Registered Mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 2Zth day of September 1984, and the Regional Municipality of Durham granted approval of the proposed by-law by letter dated the 9th day of October 1984. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS: 1. ALL those portions of the unopened road allowance, lying between Lots 22 and 23, Concession 10, in the former Township of Clarke, now in the Town of Newcastle, hereinafter described are hereby stopped-up and closed; ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land, situate lying and being in the Town of Newcastle, Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario, and being composed of parts of the unopened road allowance, lying between Lots 22 and 23, Concession 10, of the former Township of Clarke, now within the limits of the Town of Newcastle, and being more particularly designated as Parts 1 and 2, according to a Reference Plan deposited in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Newcastle (No. 10), on the 27th day of August 1984, as Plan 10R-1894. 2. ALL those portions of the said road allowances hereinbefore described shall be conveyed by the Town of Newcastle to the abutting owners. By-law read a first and second time this 13th day of November 1984. By-law read a third time and finally passed this 13th day of November 1984.
