BY-LAW 84- 113
being a by-law to stop-up and close and to
authorize the sale of parts of unopened
Darlington Street and Durham Street, lying
between and adjacent to Lots 155 and 156.
according to the Wilson, Armour and Mearns
Plan in the former Town of Bowmanville.
now in the Town of Newcastle
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desireable to pass this by-law;
AND WHEREAS notice of intention of the Council to pass the said by-law in
accordance with the requirements of Section 301, Chapter 302, of The Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, was published in the Canadian Statesman on August 22nd,
August 29th, September 5th and September 12th 1984;
AND WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass this by-law was sent by
Registered Mail to the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 15th day of
August 1984, and the Regional Municipality of Durham granted approval of the
proposed by-law by letter dated the 27th day of August 1984;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY-LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. ALL those portions of unopened Darlington Street and
Durham Street, lying between and adjacent to Lots 155
and 156, according to the Wilson, Armour and Mearns
Plan, in the former Town of Bowmanville, hereinafter
described are hereby stopped-up and closed;
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land,
situate, lying and being in the Town of Newcastle,
Regional Municipality of Durham, Province of Ontario,
and being composed of parts of unopened Darlington
Street and Durham Street, lying between and adjacent
to Lots 155 and 156, according to the Wilson, Armour
and Mearns Plan of the former Town of Bowmanville,
now within the limits of the Town of Newcastle, and
being more particularly designated as Part 3,
according to a Reference Plan deposited in the Land
Registry Office for the Registry Division of
Newcastle (No. 10), on the 9th day of May 1984, as
Plan 10R-1824.
2. ALL those portions of the said road allowances hereinbefore
described shall be conveyed by the Town of Newcastle to the
abutting owners.
By-law read a first and second time this 24th day of September 1984.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 24th day of September 1984.
