MINUTES Resolution #GPA-001-02 Moved by Councillor Trim, seconded by Councillor Robinson THAT the minutes of a regular meeting of the General Purpose and Administration Committee held on December 3, 2002 be approved as amended. Minutes PUBLIC MEETING - 2- January 7, 2002 Pursuant to the Planning Act, the Council of the Municipality of Clarington, through its General Purpose and Administration Committee, is holding a Public Meeting for the following application: (a) Proposed Street Name Changes for the New 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System Recommendation Report Public notice for the requested street name changes was placed in the local newspapers having a general circulation within the Municipality. A notice was published on November 26, December 5, 12 and 19, 2001. This notice procedure is in compliance with the Ontario Regulation made under the Municipal Act. In addition, staff forwarded notices to all residents either living on the affected roads or owning property abutting the affected roads. (a) Report PSD-002-02 - Proposed Street Name Changes for the New 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System Recommendation Report - the purpose and effect of the proposed amendment would change the following street names within the Municipality as follows: Enniskillen (a) Centre Street north of Regional Road NO.3 to Allan Wearn Street Orono (a) Centre Street to Centreview Street (b) MiIi Lane to North Mill Lane PLANNING SERVICES DEPARTMENT No one spoke in opposition to or in support of this application. Monitoring the Decisions of the Committee of Adjustment for Meeting of December 13, 2001 Resolution #GPA-002-02 Moved by Councillor Pingle, seconded by Councilior MacArthur THAT Report PSD-001-02 be received; and THAT Council concur with the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment made on November 29, 2001 and December 13, 2001 for applications A2001/056, A2001/062 to A2001/065, inclusive and A2001/067 and that staff be authorized to appear before the Ontario Municipal Board to defend the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment. COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT Courtice Community Complex Training Facility Update and Official Opening CLERK'S DEPARTMENT Resolution #GPA-005-02 Moved by Councillor MacArthur, seconded by Mayor Mutton THAT Report CSD-01-02 be received for information; and THAT a new logo be submitted for Council's consideration on January 14, 2002. Resolution #GPA-006-02 Moved by Councillor Pingle, seconded by Councillor MacArthur THAT Report FND-001-02 be received; and THAT the list of applications for cancellation, reduction or refund of Taxes attached to Report FND-002-01 be approved.
