CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NO. 91-172
Being a by-law to repeal By-law No. 89-231 and to
accept a conditional offer to purchase a portion of
the unopened road allowance for Wilmot Street lying
easterly from Mill Street from Dr. Spruyt.
WHEREAS Dr. Marlene Spruyt has applied to the Town of Newcastle for the
sale and conveyance of Part 1, Plan 10R-3963;
WHEREAS the aforesaid Part 1 qomprises a portion of the unopened road
allowance for Wilmot Street running easterly from Mill Street;
WHEREAS Council is satisfied that the public highway at no time has been
laid out, established or dedicated on the unopened road allowance for
Wilmot Street lying east of Mill Street;
WHEREAS the aforesaid Part 1 is not required for any municipal purpose;
WHEREAS the Council has adopted the recommendations contained in the
General Purpose and Administration Connnittee Report WD-78-91 at its
meeting of October 7, 1991.
The Council of the Corporation of The Town of Newcastle enacts as
follows:
1. That the conditional offer to purchase the land comprising Part 1,
Plan 10R-3963, be accepted in accordance with conditions set out
in the recommendations contained in General Purpose and
Administration Committee Report WD-78-91 adopted by Council at its
meeting of Octoper 7, 1991.
2. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute all necessary
documents to give effect to the foregoing on the Town's behalf.
3. Town officials are authorized to take all necessary action to give
effect to the foregoing.
By-law No. 89-231 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 15th day of October, 1991.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 15th day of October,
1991.
