THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 91- 165
being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, the Comprehensive Zoning By-law for the Corporation of
the Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it advisable to amend
By-law 84-63, as amended, of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle in accordance with
application Dev 90-056 to recognize an existing motor vehicle sales establichment and expansion
thereto.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. Schedule 16.5 "Special Exceptions - General Commercial (Cl)" zone is hereby amended by
adding thereto, the following new Exception 16.5.10 as follows:
"16.5.10 General Commercial Exception (CI-I0) Zone
Notwithstanding Section 3. 14(d)(ii), 16.1 and 16.3, those lands zoned CI-I0 on the Schedules
to this By-law shall only be used for a motor vehicle sales establishment and an existing
residential unit accessory thereto and shall be subject to the following zone provisions:
i) Interior Side Yard 0.26 metres"
2. Schedule "3" to By-law 84-63 as amended, is hereby further amended by changing the zone
designation from "General Commercial (Cl)" to "General Commercial Exception (CI-I0)" zone, as
illustrated on the attached Schedule " A " hereto.
3. Schedule" A" attached hereto shall form part of this By-law.
4. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of the passing hereof, subject to the
provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act.
