BY-LAW 91--159
being a By-Jaw to a.ppoint a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer
and to repeal By-Jaw 89-82
WHEREAS Section 20 of The Police Services Act RSO 1990, Chapter 10, Section 15(1), authorizes a
Council of any Municipality to appoint one or more By-Jaw Enforcement Officers, who shall be
Peace OffICers for the purpose of enforcing the By-Jaws of the Municipality; and
WHEREAS it is desirable to appoint Teresa Francine Mason as Municipal Law Enforcement
Officer by By-Jaw for the purposes of enforcing the By-Jaws of the Town of Newcastle;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle hereby enacts as
follows:
1. THAT Teresa Francine Mason is hereby appointed as Municipal 'Law Enforcement
Officer for the purpose of exercising all the powers and performing all the duties of a
municipal Jaw enforcement officer in the enforcement of the By-Jaws of the Town of
N ewca.stle; and
2. THAT By-Jaw 89-82 is hereby repealed.
