THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 90-.11
being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, the Comprehensive Zoning By-law for the Corporation of the
Town of Newcastle.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it advisable to amend By-
law 84-68, as amended, of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle, to implement a condition of Draft
Approval for Plan of Subdivision 18T-77041 (10M 823);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. Section 17.5 "Special Exception - Neighbourhood Commercial (C2)" zone is hereby amended by
adding thereto, the following new Special Exception 17.5.2 as follows:
"17.5.2 NEIGHBOURHOOD COMMERCIAL EXCEPTION (C2-2) ZONE
Notwithstanding Section 17.1.b those lands zoned (C2-2) on the Schedules to this By-law shall
only be used in accordance with the following zone regulations.
1) NON-RESIDENTIAL USES
i) business, professional or administration office;
ii) day nursery;
ill) dry cleaners distribution centre;
iv) laundry; coin operated;
v) convenience store;
vi) medical or dental clinic;
vii) private club;
viii) retail commercial establishment;
ix) service shop; personal"
2. Schedule "4" to By-law 84-63 as amended, is hereby further amended by changing the zone
designation from "Neighbourhood Commercial (C2)" to "Neighbourhood Commercial Exception (C2-2)"
as shown on the attached Schedule "A" hereto
3. Schedule "A" attached hereto shall form part of this By-law.
4. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of the passing hereof, subject to the provisions
of Section 34 of the Planning Act.
