THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW NUMBER 90- 67
being a By-Jaw to amend By-Jaw 84-63, the Comprehensive Zoning By-Jaw for the Corporation of the
Town ofNewcast1e.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle on November 13, 1989 has
recommended to the Region of Durham for approval of draft Plan of Subdivision 18T-89041.
AND WHEREAS Durham Regional Council on February 7, 1990 approved Official Plan Amendment
Application 89-041/N as amendment # 35 to the Town of Newcastle OffIcial Plan and have
recommended to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs approval of same.
AND WHEREAS said by-Jaw is passed pursuant to Section 24(2) of the Planning Act, whereby it would
not come into effect until such time the appropriate Official Plan Amendment has received Ministerial
approval;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it advisable to amend
By-Jaw 84-63, as amended, of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle to implement the plan of
subdivision 18T 89041.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Newcastle enacts as follows:
1. Schedule "A" to By-Jaw 84-63 as amended, is hereby further amended by changing the zone
designation from:
"Agricultural (A)" to "Holding - Urban Residential Type One ((H) R1)"
"Agricultural (A)" to "Holding - Urban Residential Type Two ((H) R2)"
"Agricultural (A)" to "Holding - Urban Residential Type Three ((H) R3)"
2. Schedule "A" attached hereto shaI1 form part of this By-Jaw.
3. This By-Jaw shaI1 come into effect on the date of the p8RRing hereof, subject to the provisions
of Section 34 of the Planning Act.
