THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 90- 6l
being a by-law to appoint a Member to
the Newcastle Public Library Board
and to amend By-law 88-186
WHEREAS Section 9(1) of the Public Libraries Act, 1984, provides that a public library board for a
municipality whose population is less than 100,000 shall be composed of at least five (5) and no more
than nine (9) members appointed by the Municipal Council;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the requirements of the Public Libraries Act, 1984, the council of the
Corporation of the Town of Newcastle enacted By-law Number 85-85, establishing the composition of
the Newcastle Public Library Board;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT By-law 88-186 be amended by adding thereto the name of Joan Santomero as being appointed
to the Newcastle Public Library Board to represent the Peterborough-Victoria-NorthumberIand and
Newcastle Roman Catholic Separate School Board.
