THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 90-152
Being a by-law to stop-up and close and to authorize the
sale of part of the opened road allowance described as
Old King's Highway No.2, in Lot 14, Concession 1, former
Town of Bowmanville, now in the Town of Newcastle, more
particularly described as Part 1 on Plan 10R-3593.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it
desirable to pass this by-law;
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass this by-law was sent to
the Regional Municipality of Durham on the 10th day of August 1990, and the
Regional ~unicipality of Durham granted approval of the proposed by-law by
letter dated the 30th day of August 1990.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AS A BY -LAW OF THE
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Part of that portion of the opened road allowance described as Old
King's Highway No.2, former Town of Bowmanville, now in the Town of
Newcastle, more particularly described as Part 1 on Plan 10R-3593,
hereinafter described is hereby stopped up and closed;
ALL AND SINGULAR THAT certain parcel and tract of land and premises,
lying and being in the Town of Newcastle, in the Regional Municipality
of Durham, province of Ontario, and being composed of the opened road
allowance described as part of Old King's Highway No.2, being part of
Lot 14, Concession 1, former Town of Bowmanville, more specifically
described as Part 1 Plan 10R-3593 deposited in the Land Registry Office
for the Registry Division of Newcastle (No.lO) on January 18, 1990.
2. All those portions of the opened road allowance hereinbefore described
shall be conveyed by the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle.
By-law read a first time this 10th day of September 1990.
By-law read a second time this 10th day of September 1990.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 10th day of September 1990.
