BY-LAW 88- 62
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
being a by-law to amend By-law 86-112, being a by-law
to establish a street name map and a street name
inventory for roads in the Town of Newcastle
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems it expedient
to amend the street name map and street name inventory for roads in
the Town of Newcastle;
AND WHEREAS such street name map and street name inventory establishes
an official name for all improved roads and those unimproved roads
which receive summer maintenance and are included in the Roads Needs
study for the Town of Newcastle;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED as a by-law for the Town of Newcastle
as follows:
1. Schedule 'A' the street name map, and Schedule'B' the street
name inventory, be ammended to;
a) Change the name of the road between Lots 2 & 3, Concessions 6 & 7,
former Township of Clarke from Carruthers Road to Soper Road: and
b) Change the name of the road between Lots 30 & 31, Concession 3,
former Township of Clarke from Ochonski Road to Lockhart Road; and
c) change the name of the road between Lots 30 & 31, Concesison 4,
former Township of Clarke from Ochonski Road to Squair Road; and
d) Change the name of the road between Lots 4 & 5, Concession 5 & 6,
former Township of Clarke from Langstaff Road to Shiloh Road; and
e) Change the name of the road between Lots 6 & 7, Concession 7 & 8,
former Township of Clarke from Stafford Road to Mercer Road: and
f) change the name of the road in Lot 33, Concession 2, former
TownShip of Darlington from Oakes Road to Oke Road; and
g) Change the name of 'Hale Road' in the former Township of Clarke
to Stapleton Road; and
h) Change the name of Reid Road in the community of Newtonville
from Highway #2 southerly to Ovens Road.
By-law read a first and second time this 30th day of May 1988
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 30th day of May 1988
